Regarding my DNF at North Downs Way 100. First, thanks for all the kind messages 🙏 — I quit after 116 of 167 kilometers; 16:30h of running, just before midnight. It was a ‘Death by a 1,000 paper cuts’ situation. Nothing majorly went wrong, but many small things added up: both big toes destroyed from hitting them on too many rocks, lost my headlamp, backup lamp battery too low, too exhausted to even walk in a straight line anymore. I’m quite sad, because it means no Western States lottery for me this year and I feel the need to figure out how to move on regarding trail ultras. Time will tell! #ultrarunning

🤩🏃 Some people run a 5k, some manage a whole marathon. And then there are some who can run for 200 kilometers. To make that possible, my friends Michael Mankus, Marcel Leuze, and I, created 1. Grüner Ring 200. Here’s how that all went down: https://www.teesche.com/blog/gruener_ring_200_organizing_and_supporting_a_200_kilometer_running_race #ultrarunning
